    iPhone Tracker Pro

I'm a Tracker Pro customer. I have just updated to the latest version.

I'm really disapointed now as the tracker does not show upcoming flights for airports anymore. It only shows the flights that have already landed, and those that have already departed. This makes the app useless for planespotting.

Is this normal behavior or just a temporary bug?

Hey Paul! This is definitely not supposed to be the case; we didn't change that aspect of the app at all. It should continue to display arriving and departing aircraft as it did in the previous versions.

Can you give me an example of an airport that is displaying erroneous information? I'll plug it in and test it here to try to duplicate the problems.

We do have a bug in our server code at the moment that is giving it trouble recognizing airports where the leading "K" is specified. one thing you could try is enter just the 3 letter ID (so, for example, enter MIA instead of KMIA) and see if that helps out at all.

Definitely let us know the details and we'll see if we can get to the bottom of it...!

    Re: iPhone Tracker Pro

I use it mainly for CYQB, but it does it for many U.S. airports also. I just tested EWR, JFK and LAX.

    To reproduce:

It is 7:58 a.m. Eastern (my dog woke me up, I do have a life.) From the Search Flight screen, if I use one field to type LAX and leave the menu to "Any", I get a list of flights, starting from 3:48 a.m. HE up until 7:53 HE. The time seems always to be present time minus 5 minutes. I do not have any further incoming flights listed past present time. To confirm, if I use "To:LAX, Status:Filed" I get zero flights. I know from looking at other websites, that there are plenty.

Same for departures "Any:LAX" gives all the flights that have left since 5:07 a.m. up until present time minus 5 minutes, but no future flights. Even From:LAX, Status:Sched. gives zero results.

Edit: Same thing in Tracker Lite.

    2. I have another bug: I've lost the ability to follow many aircraft. For example: CGDPG and CGPGD.

    Thanks!

Ok; I think we got a quick-fix in place to correct problem number 1. Can you confirm on your end that this is no longer trouble for you? As for number 2, we're taking a look at that one and hope to have a fix in place for tomorrow night's update.

    Re: iPhone Tracker Pro

For #1, I'm sorry, the results are exactly the same. I see no future flights.

Does this fix require updating the app? I see no updates on iTunes (Canada).

Hmmmm; ok, we're cramming on this problem this morning to iron it out. I'll post an update as soon as I have some news... thanks for hangin in there...!

    Re: iPhone Tracker Pro

Ok; it looks like we still had some more work to do. Nope, it doesn't require an update to the app - we're trying to do all the repairs on the server, and it looks like we're able to. We're going to put the changes in place later tonight, so hopefully the problem should be resolved when we update the servers some time before midnight Eastern time.

As for the Canadian aircraft you mentioned; they are now blocked from public display by request of the owners/operators... we're going to update the app to better handle blocked aircraft and let the user know accordingly rather than display that cryptic message.

    Re: iPhone Tracker Pro

Ok there seems to be some improvement.

Now we see some future flights, but not all, when comparing to other websites.

And the Filed or Scheduled searches still turn up nothing.
